Presentation: The Edge within CyberSecurity and Data Governance

With today's growth in IoT, computer vision, and other streaming data, there are high cyber risks associated with digital streams containing key data like edge-based device protocols, PII, metadata, videos, and more. To process these new data streams, system engineers have developed disruptive new platforms and architectures including streaming analytics, containerization at the edge, and machine learning. At the same time, cybersecurity and GRC (governance, risk management, and compliance) have skyrocketed! Modern cybersecurity and GRC require complex automation, integration, and operating methods to ensure modern disruptive systems operate effectively and efficiently, while complying with applicable laws, regulations, and risk-management frameworks. This presentation will cover AI, streaming analytics, and cybersecurity risk management, talking about the techniques and architectures that allow modern disruptive systems to operate effectively under compliance.

Speaker: Scott Hines, VP Enterprise Solutions at UST

Founder of JDA Software (now Blue Yonder)

For more than 25 years, Scott D. Hines has been a leading figure in the retail and compliance technology world.
