In recent years, enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) has emerged as an easy, smart and affordable way for organizations of all types and sizes to strengthen IT security while supporting user productivity. With the advent of more stringent government regulations, organizations are seeking ways to further strengthen IT security by incorporating stronger passwords and in many cases an additional form of authentication, such as a security card or token or even finger biometrics.
The idea behind using an additional factor beyond a password provides strong authentication so that each computer on an organization's network has a stronger "front door" against entry by unauthorized users. However, the use of these increased security measures has an impact across the organization, both on all computer users as well as the helpdesk staff who need to support these users. ESSO alleviates the inconvenience not only of a multiplicity of stronger passwords to access applications, but also integrates with strong authentication to ensure that every "front door" in the organization is as secure as possible.
But which authentication option is right for you and your organization? And how easily can it be integrated with your ESSO solution? Personal communications devices such as iPhones and Blackberries have become ubiquitous in both the commercial and personal arenas. As these devices have become more popular, they have also become more powerful and heavily integrated into many people's lives. However, their adoption has often occured faster than the security awareness required to operate these devices in a safe and secure manner. This presentation will discuss some of the unique and unusual security challenges these devices pose to corporate environments and strategies for resolving them while continuing to benefit from their ever-increasing capabilities.

Mr Takamine is the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Secure Technology Hawaii (STHI), Hawaii's Security and Disaster Recovery Experts. In his role, Duane is responsible to set the technical direction for STHI, to guide the Assessment, Forensics & Consulting team, and to oversee the develop STHI's line of advanced security products and services. Duane is in his 16th year at STHI and he is one of the most experienced security/DR engineers in the industry. Duane is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of many of the network security and disaster recovery solutions at several of Hawaii's top 250 corporations. Duane has a BSEE degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and he also holds advanced technical accreditations for many products from industry leaders such as VMWare, Checkpoint, IBM, RSA, Microsoft, and many others.

Mr. Archambeault has over 28 years of experience in the computer industry and 13 years in his present position. He has held senior management positions at a number of computer and peripheral companies over the years. He is currently employed with IBM Tivoli as an Enterprise Sales Executive responsible for the sale of solutions that encompass the entire portfolio of Tivoli products.
In his current role, Mr. Archambeault works with clients in a wide range of industries assisting with solutions that include storage management, security, IT process automation, and asset management. Besides being a Sales Executive, he is also quite technical, and brings a lot of knowledge with him.
